Access 2 Card
The Easter Seals Canada Access2 Card program helps to ensure recreational, cultural, and entertainment venues are more accessible to all. The Access2 Card allows an individual with a disability's support person to get in for free or at a discounted rate when the individual with a disability presents the card at participating venues. The individual must have a permanent disability and require the support of a support person to be eligible for the card.

Adaptive Paddling Programs
These sessions are centered upon giving participants with physical and/or cognitive disabilities the experience to participate in various adaptive watersports. Participants and their friend, family member, or aide will learn the basics of paddling with one of our trained instructors while building their skills and confidence on the water. Note that UCalgary Programs do not provide intimate & personal care for participants. Participants who require this level of care must provide their own personal aide/support. All participants must register with a paddling partner (family member, friend, aide).

Adaptive Physical Activity for Kids
At the Adaptive Physical Activity for Kids program, youth will be guided through a variety of activities and experiences that are personalized for them over a series of classes. Participants will have the opportunity to develop fundamental movement skills and may choose to participate in learning sport specific skills relating to soccer, hockey, basketball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and dodgeball.

Adaptive Snow Sports
Offers adaptive skiing and snowboarding lessons. We welcome participants of all skill levels and use adaptive equipment and strategies to encourage fun, progression, and skill development, so you leave the mountain enjoying the slopes as much as we do!

Rocky Mountain Adaptive
Adaptive Sport Programs, Lessons, and Experiences
Rocky Mountain Adaptive is partnered with many wonderful local organizations to provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to enjoy mountain adventure. Rocky Mountain Adaptive additionally offers a Volunteer Buddy Program to support individuals requiring additional assistance while taking part in their chosen activity. Buddies are trained volunteers who guide the adaptive guests around suitable terrain, and may provide assistance with getting on equipment, available during the Winter at Sunshine Village and Summer in the Bow Valley.

Children's Adapted Physical Activity Program (CAPA)
Free recreational program. The CAPA program will pair student volunteers one-on-one with children who are experiencing disability (of any type: physical, sensory, developmental, and/or intellectual), ages 4-12 years. Activities will include organized games and sports, obstacle courses, craft-making, and story-telling in both the gym and swimming pool settings.

H2Able is a one-on-one adapted swimming lesson program that provides critical life skills for those with disabilities in aquatic emergency situations. The goal of the program is to gain confidence and comfort in the aquatic environment and to learn aquatic survival skills while having fun.

Our PEER exercise program is designed for kids on or off cancer treatments and their siblings. The right prescription for physical activity can help your child develop strength, endurance, coordination and flexibility. Regular exercise helps restore energy levels and improve mental and physical well-being. PEER exercise sessions offer kids the opportunity to be more socially engaged and can improve academic performance.

Recreational and Social Activities for Individuals with Brain Injuries
The Community Integration Program (CIP) offers meaningful recreational and social opportunities for clients in group and one-to-one settings. Facilitated by ARBI’s recreation therapists, these virtual and face-to-face sessions take place at our facilities or out within the community. Community Integration Programs Offered: Community Kitchen Program, Cooking Skills Program, Gardening Program, Golf Program, Music Therapy Program, Peer Connect Program, Seated Exercise Program (In-Person & Virtual), Walking Program, Art Program, and Woodworking Program.

Skill Builder Recreation Program
Offers skill building programs that work on fine motor skills, making friends, anxiety, and confidence, as well as non-competitive sports programs. Skill Builder programs are open to all children and youth. If your child would benefit from one-on-one support and/or is eligible for aide support (i.e. FSCD), they ask caregivers to make arrangements and notify the Programs Director.

Sport Programs for Individuals with Disabilities
Offers a variety of sport and wellness programs for children, youth, and adults with disabilities including bowling, skiing, track & field, basketball, golf, swimming, walk/run club, and more. Sport specific programs are for individuals 8 and older - young athlete programs are available for children ages 2-7. Special Olympics programs are open to individuals with an intellectual disability ages 2 years and older. Participation is open to all individuals with an intellectual disability, regardless of the level or degree of that person’s disability, and whether or not that person also has other mental or physical disabilities.

Winter, Summer, and Indoor Sports Programming for Individuals with Visual Impairments
Offers a variety of sport programs for youth and adults. Winter programs include blind hockey, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, skating, and snow-shoeing. Indoor program include archery, bowling, dance, gymnastics, indoor rock climbing, martial arts, Movement 4 Me program, skateboarding, swimming, and yoga. Summer sports include dragon boat, lawn bowls, running club, sailing, soccer, tandem cycling, and walking club.
